Enjoy the Moment

Enjoy the Moment If you don’t think you can take a ten-minute break, then you probably need 15 minutes. The Sisters From AARP team selected the contents of the Summer 2022 Collection to help you relax, release, and enjoy the moment. Subscribers received an aromatherapy bead bracelet where style meets serenity. It can be worn alone or with a dab of the essential oils from Blue Sage Ecoboutique. To continue your “Enjoy the Moment” journey, the Collection had a quartz face roller and Revival Face Oil Serum by Zuhuri Beauty. Subscribers raved about the thoughtfully designed hair towel wrap that was roomy enough for all hair lengths and textures. For sunny summer days, the packable visor is satin-lined, packable and adjustable. The pampering continues with everything needed to make a refreshing mocktail: acrylic tumblers, stirrer spoon straws, Dried Hibiscus Powder by IYA Foods, and even a healthy snack, It’s NOLA’s Granola Bites. Finally, the latest collectible lapel pin featured this season’s inspiring design by Hadiya Williams.

Spring 2022 Box

Rebirth & New Beginnings

Spring awakens beauty and growth. Seedlings push through soil. Bare trees become lusher by the day. The season invites your truest, most vital self to flourish. We handpicked branded and private label products the spring Luxe & Luminous Collection, to help you thrive day and night. As with every LLC, this box includes a custom golden lapel pin of the seasonal design by artist Hadiya Williams, along with a nice affirmational message on a card. Subscribers also received a set of 30 cards with simple steps for improving their wellbeing. Sisters were unwinding in style with a luscious satin Robe and matching hair band. To set New Beginnings in motion, we included a Blender/Shaker Bottle for stirring up nutrient-packed drinks, a set of flexible Wrist & Ankle Weights perfect for stepping up your fitness while on a walk or jog, or even while doing chores around the house, and a pair of Non-Slip Athletic Socks, perfect for yoga, stretching, or light fitness at home. Also included is a nourishing and hydrating plant-based sports drink from Liquid Hydration, a black-owned business founded by athletes to provide a balanced recharge while working out. Subscribers could start a new breakfast routine with Vicky Cakes all-natural, vegan pancake or waffle mix. As a nod to the Rebirth theme, the Collection included a pair of exfoliating mitts, a Lavender Aromatherapy Spray from Asutra (a Venus Williams product pick), and a sample of a Refining Night Oil from AbsoluteJOI by Dr. Anne Beal, both exciting new products from black-owned businesses.

Winter 2021 Box

Reflect, Renew, Rejoice

Winter brings the chance to reflect, renew and rejoice. To help you appreciate the special moments every day, the debut Luxe & Luminous Collection featured an array of branded and private label products. Subscribers received a shimmering, over-sized scarf and special gold clutch. We also included a collectible lapel pin Featuring our exclusive light-beam design by Hadiya Williams. As part of the Collection’s theme about reflection, we handpicked a soy wax candle by either Ignite Your Peace or KSM Candle Co, loose-leaf team from either KimBees or Adjourn Teahouse, and wildflower honey, all from Black-owned brands that specialize in life’s little luxuries. Other items to support reflection included a gratitude journal and greeting cards. To support renewal, the Collection featured a quartz face roller, a satin eye mask, and inflatable bath pillow.

Fall 2022 Box

Gathering with Grace

In this season of bringing in the harvest, we can reap the blessings of the loving bonds we cultivate. We’ve included activity ideas, like playing cards, to help you connect effortlessly and feed your soul. The knitted poncho and Truffled Popcorn by Pipcorn, a Black-owned business, have us ready for friendly chats around the patio firepit. The cheese board, ceramic bowls, and spreaders have us excited for good times and wine with our girls or hosting guests with a gracious spread of cheeses, meats and On the Rocks Gourmet Jams, a Black woman-owned business. Lastly, subscribers received a Very Necessary moisturizer, R4 night cream or Night Cap retinol cream from IKNOW Skincare. Germaine Bolds-Leftridge, founder of the Black woman-owned business, is profiled in the fall 2022 Luxe & Luminous Magazine.

Winter 2022 Box

Cozy & Creative

Winter is a time for a reset as we gather with our loved ones to celebrate the start of a new year. Often, we gather indoors with gratitude, so the Sisters From AARP team included elegant gold and black taper candlestick holders for a chic designer tablescape. Also included were all-natural, hand-dipped beeswax tapers by Alysia Mazzella. Plus, the rich, emerald green blanket is plush and sized to be ultra-cozy and decoratively draped. In winter, we come together and celebrate, even when life's thrown us a curve ball. A gold-toned spoon holder stylishly holds cooking utensil. Our custom-designed padded mitts and trio of silicone potholder can handle the heat. Subscribers devoured the scrumptious vegan, gluten-free cookies from Partake Foods, and the cult-favorite Mother’s Shea Butter provided luxurious, long-lasting moisture to our subscribers. Finally, our Living Beautifully Coloring Book features beautiful original illustrations by artist Sarina Mantle.

Spring 2023 Box

Home & Heritage

The sold-out Home & Heritage box celebrates how we sisters bring the heart, soul, rhythm, colors, flavors, textures and scents of Africa and the diaspora into our intimate spaces. Subscribers received a table runner and graphic coasters that feature an African Diaspora-inspired print by artist Dian Holton. We also included a woven bamboo fan, Fairchain Kenya coffee, and delicious Yolélé Fonio Ancient African Grain. Reviewers raved about the raw black soap from Africa Imports, and a ceramic soap dish was included. Roomy enough for a whole dinner’s worth of groceries, subscribers enjoyed a Zulu-inspired shopper tote and coordinating bangle bracelets.
